Sarah Bradshaw

Sarah’s experience as a grower of cannabis dates back to 1971 when she planted several seeds in a newly dug irrigation line for the cemetery on the slope of Mt. Ida.  Accessible only by foot or horseback the crop was a moderate success and the first of many.

With formal training as a certified organic inspector (PROPA), Landscape Horticulture Certificate (NAIT Fairview), and Master Composter Status, Sarah has a broad base of knowledge to share.  These certificates augment the more than 20,000 hours of practical experience she has logged in the organic growing world.  She has operated growing under a wide range of lighting options and has grown in every medium except aeroponics.

As a Master Herbalist, Sarah has a deep respect for the plants and their power to heal.  She combines this knowledge with her aromatherapy and Bach Remedy training to formulate individual medicines with proven efficacy.  Closely related and of utmost importance is “pest control” and disease management, using methods not harmful to the plants or the people using them. Decades of growing multiple herbs and food plants have allowed for experimentation and data collection resulting in a comprehensive approach to growing. Committed to helping people grow their own food and their own medicine has lead to a deep involvement in the Food Security movement which is vital to our survival.  Sarah’s herb, vegetable, and medicine seed collection has hundreds of varieties…..and many of them are wonderful strains of cannabis.
